How to use it

  1. Stir the jar before the first use. Oil separation on top is normal and is a sign there are no hydrogenated fats holding it together.
  2. A level 2 tbsp serving is about 33 g and adds 10 g of protein.
  3. Stir into oats, spread on toast, or blend into a shake.
  4. Weigh it rather than eyeballing it, at least at first — peanut butter is calorie-dense and a heaped spoon is easily double a level one.

Who it suits

  • Anyone wanting to add protein to food without cooking anything
  • People who find a typical peanut butter is mostly fat with a little protein attached — this is 30% protein against roughly 25% for standard peanut butter
  • Anyone building a higher-protein breakfast out of ordinary food

Who should skip it

  • Anyone with a peanut allergy, and anyone with a milk allergy — it contains whey as well as peanuts
  • Vegans, for the same whey reason
  • People counting calories tightly who will not measure the serving. This is the easiest product in the range to over-pour

Common questions

Why is there oil on top?

Because there is nothing artificial in there stopping it. Natural peanut butter separates; the emulsifiers and hydrogenated fats that prevent it are exactly what this leaves out. Stir it back in.

How is this different from normal peanut butter?

It is 30% protein by weight, against roughly 25% for standard peanut butter, because whey protein is blended in. It also contains no palm oil and no hydrogenated fat.

Does it need refrigerating?

No. It is shelf-stable at room temperature. Refrigerating makes it firmer and harder to spread.
